Attend more events to expand your network

Everyone is busy. You, me and everyone else. But if you’re wanting to expand your network you have to get out and meet people and practice your conversation and connection skills. Sure, there are several of you that can do all your networking online and through a screen, but most of us human beings like to be in person.

I know I prefer to attend a sporting event in person. I prefer to have lunch with someone in person versus over screens. And I know that I can get to know someone better when I am in person.

So take advantage of researching events and find two events that will connect you with your desired audience. Once you have found those events, I recommend you call someone who has attended the event and see how it was. You can do research on events the same way you would research buying a TV or a car. Check it out. Ask questions. Read reviews.

Here’s an event that I will be serving as the emcee on aging parents. Lots to learn and for anyone who is currently dealing with this stage of life, my heart goes out to you. There’s no better way to spend your time but it’s also taxing. Join me at this Team Women event and come say hello to me in person.
