Writing a book is the easy part. Marketing is the hard work.

I’ve been coaching clients on promoting their book for more than 10 years. I’ve helped hundreds of authors send their book beyond the typical results. Typical results for business books are that 80% of authors sell less than 1,000 copies of their book. All my clients have sold more than 1,000 books.

Here’s why. It’s hard work and my author clients do the work. And they make a plan to know what they have to work on so that they can use their time and resources wisely.

Whenever I tell them that writing the book is the easy part of the authors journey, they always cringe. I used to not tell them. But then I realized that it would be like saying running a marathon is easy. It’s not. It’s hard work to log all those miles and train for a 26 mile run.

Promoting a book has the same amount of effort and planning if you want to be successful.

Twice a year I host a workshop for people who want to learn more about marketing a book. Your book could have been written two years ago or not done yet. Attend this workshop and you will gain insights into how to promote your book, leverage your network or use social media in a method that works for your brand.

The virtual workshop is in October and if you want to sell more books I recommend you invest in this workshop. Rock On!
